Truro City

Truro City Picture 1Truro City Picture 2

Truro, with its cobbled streets and Georgian architecture is best known for the Cathedral, which was completed in 1910. What a picture it is, a proper job, well worth a visit.

Along the main street you will find a selection of shops and large stores with lots of different items, be sure to allow enough time to look at all of them. Explore the side roads where you will find many small specialist shops. Why not try a lovely cornish pasty or a cream tea.

In days gone by Truro was a famous market town, there is still a regular indoor market which is open all year round, with other specialist markets appearing throughout the seasons.

The oldest museum in Cornwall may be found in Truro, the Royal Cornwall Museum, which often has exhibitions using local themes and archaeology.

In the evenings there is plenty of entertainment, the Hall for Cornwall offers a variety of shows and performing arts, there is also a local cinema. Local pubs and restaurants provide a large selection of food.
